Synovial Sarcoma - Online Patient Support Group

An interesting case of a synovial sarcoma patient with metastatic disease, whose tumors showed high expression of somatostatin receptors and who responded quite well to lutathera is reported here:

Lutathera is making big news in Europe (London) curing people with other types of cancer. It’s nice to hear it might help us with SS as well.

And if I’m not mistaken, it sounds like it’s just a few shots… Virtually none of the horrible side effects that we are used to with the standard chemo/surgery/radiation protocols…

It would be interesting to find out whether somatostatin receptors high expression is common in synovial sarcoma and whether it is necessary to get a response to lutathera…

I was wondering the same thing. It seems like many of the new treatments require certain markers to work. For example, hla or ny eso with some of the immunotherapy options.
